My little business began out of necessity. I wanted new jewelry but found little that I liked and when I did see something I liked, it seemed over priced. I looked very closely at a necklace that I liked and decided that I could make something similar using beads and components of my choice. I went to Michael’s and JoAnn Etc. to buy what I needed and tried my hand at necklace making. After I completed my first necklace I wore it all the time! Soon, people started asking me about my necklace.
I decided that since Christmas was around the corner I would make necklaces for all the women in my life. I got to work using all sorts of different colors and beads. I tried to make a necklace that felt right for the person I was making it for. No one got the same necklace, each one was different and everyone loved them.
Before you knew it, people were asking my gift recipients about my necklaces and the idea of starting my own business was off the ground! In April of 2009 A´lainn Beaded Jewelry was formed. I now make bracelets, earrings and sets, as well as other unique beaded items. A´lainn Beaded Jewelry has grown into what you see now and I look forward to it growing and expanding even more in the coming years.
When I’m not making jewelry I am a wife to Jim, mom to Marla, Christopher, Caitlin and Kerrie, and a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. My oldest daughter Marla and her husband Garrick help me administer this site. My son Christopher has joined me in the ranks of delivering mail. My daughter Caitlin has taken after me in terms of creativity and also helps administer this site. She and I dabbled in beading a few years ago together. My youngest daughter Kerrie is still in school and she loves to play on the computer and run for her track team. I am also a grandma to Trent and Hunter, whom I miss very much since they live so far away.
Please be sure to visit often to see what I am up to and what new jewelry I am making. You can purchase our products here or visit A´lainn Beaded Jewelry.com. If you have any questions or would like me to make you a custom necklace be sure to email me at [email protected]. Thank you for visiting!
